Open-spine binding and the Japanese fashion for deconstruction share an ethos of embracing the raw beauty of deconstruction that celebrates imperfection and an unconventional aesthetic.

The editorial structure introduces five influential designers in Japan and their understanding of fashion, along with their impactful designs. This book extensively utilizes full-bleed images to showcase the clothes, allowing the audience to better appreciate the garments. It provides an experience to flipping through a photo book while gaining a deeper understanding of this fashion style through the accompanying text.

In order to better display the keyword fashion, I chose to print the poster on fabric. This gives the poster a unique texture and feeling, making it more tactile and visually appealing. The use of fabric highlights the innovation of fashion and better caters to the five pioneer brands in the book.
